Before you sip, stop in

The Wild Diamond Vineyards Lake Cultural Center, featuring a thoughtfully curated exhibit on the Pomo Indian tribe, will be opening soon.

Hosted by local historian Linda Lake, this intimate museum experience offers a deep dive into the rich culture and traditions of the Pomo people, the original stewards of this land. Through storytelling, artifacts, and Linda’s personal insights, visitors will walk away with a greater appreciation of the region’s deep-rooted heritage.

It’s the perfect first stop before your tasting, where history meets hospitality, right in the heart of the vineyard.

Meet Your Host: Linda Lake

Originally from the North Shore of Boston, Linda Lake followed the call of the Pacific in 1978 and, by happy coincidence, found herself settling in Lake County the following year.

With a 15-year career as a legal assistant, notary public, and mediator behind her, Linda discovered her true passion in local history. She joined the staff of the Lower Lake Schoolhouse Museum and went on to serve as Lake County Museum Curator from 2002 until her retirement in 2015.

Today, Linda continues to share her love of Lake County's past with visitors from near and far.

“I’m still very passionate about Lake County history,” Linda says.

She also enjoys wine, reading, writing, and storytelling—making her the perfect host for your visit.
